Applications for the 2026 International Student Second Placement Period will be accepted online only between 27 July and 16 August 2026 via appiso.firat.edu.tr.

Applicants accessing the system for the first time must create an account. Those who have previously registered may log in using their existing accounts to submit their applications.

Important Notice

During this stage, only preliminary applications will be accepted. Programme selection (preferences) will take place between 21 and 27 August 2026. Therefore, applicants will not select a programme during the application stage. Programme preferences must be submitted during the designated Programme Selection Period.

Documents Accepted for Application

High School Diploma

Only diplomas issued by formal secondary education institutions (high schools or equivalent schools) are accepted. Diplomas obtained through open high schools or distance education institutions are not accepted.

Faculty of Medicine

Only applicants with a valid TR-YÖS score are eligible to apply for the Faculty of Medicine.

Eligibility for Applicants Who Completed Secondary Education in Türkiye

Pursuant to the decision of the Higher Education Executive Board dated 18 July 2022, and in accordance with Article 45 of Law No. 2547, citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), former Turkish citizens holding a Blue Card, and foreign nationals who enrolled in secondary education institutions in Türkiye from the 2022–2023 academic year onwards may be admitted to higher education institutions in Türkiye only through the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS).

This regulation does not apply to students enrolled in:

• embassy schools,
• international private educational institutions listed in the MOBİS system, or
• schools operating under projects conducted by the Ministry of National Education for foreign nationals.

Evaluation and Application Fee

All applications are evaluated on a 100-point scale.

Applicants' examination and diploma scores are converted according to the score conversion system determined by the Fırat University International Student Application, Evaluation and Selection Commission.

• Minimum score required for the Faculty of Medicine: 90/100
• Application evaluation fee: ₺750

The application fee must be paid online through the application system. No other payment methods will be accepted.

Important Information

• Application fees are non-refundable if an application is submitted with invalid or unacceptable documents.
• Each applicant may submit only one application using a single examination score for each application period.
• Applicants who submit multiple applications using different accounts will have all of their applications cancelled.
• Applicants who are offered admission must present the original copies of all documents uploaded to the system during the registration process. Applicants are solely responsible for the authenticity and validity of their documents. Failure to present the required original documents will result in the cancellation of the admission offer, and no claims will be accepted.
